Reverb 10

I am participating in Reverb 10. Basically it is a blog challenge to reflect on the year. I am a few prompts behind and will catch up on a few in this post! Join me in reflecting on 2010 to prepare for 2011!

Dec 6- Make: The last thing I made was a Christmas CD featuring myself and friends singing our favorite christmas tunes. It was for my audio class but I will cherish it forever!

Dec 5- Let Go: This year I let go of expectations... I guess for me this mainly dealt with dating, I decided that for now just being me, single, no boys, is all I need and that is how it has been. I have also let go of a lot of weight hehe

Dec 1- One Word: The one word that sums up my 2010 is growth. I studied abroad in Argentina and learned about myself, a new language, and the culture of South America. I also went to camp where my relationship with God grew immensely. My relationship with W had grown and my relationship with M has changed. I am moving to NY and have my internships. I have grown a lot in 2010 and plan on more in 2011!

Join me for this challenge in the above link!

Yoga Yoga Yoga

So I have been practicing yoga again since being home for the holidays. Call it the beachy in Preppy Beach Chic, but I love it. I started yoga three years ago to help in rehabilitation of my shoulder tear. My ortho did not want to operate on my shoulder so I could resume playinf softball as soon as possible so I under went an extreme rehab process, that I guess you could say is a bit more holistic than usual.
I have gotten back into the flow of yoga and am regaining my flexibility rather fast. Today I want to share my top reasons why every woman should try yoga!
  1. Yoga Booty- Yoga tones all your muscles, especially the booty! The "yoga butt" is firm and round and totally hot!
  2. Super cute outfits- Lululemon, Nike, you name it. Dressing for yoga means wearing tight, comfortable, and of course totally fashionable outfits. Yes, you pick an outfit to go workout!
  3. Pink Yoga Mats!
  4. An increase in flexibility is never a bad thing... ;)
  5. Calmness- We are all busy, whether it be school, your business, being a mom, or a combination of them. We are all busy and all stressed. Yoga is an hour of calmness in the storm... you deserve it!
  6. You can find a free starter class almost anywhere!
  7. You will burn calories and build and tone muscle.
  8. You know the important things like, it helps arthritis, carpel tunnel syndrome, anxiety, high blood pressure... basically it can help anything wrong with you!
  9. It is no judgment... you can do poses for the utmost beginner or you can balance on one arm while holding your body in the air... you make it your practice, to benefit you!
  10. Savasana- This is the corpse pose and is the last pose in most yoga flows. Basically you lay on your back for ten minutes breathing, and totally relaxing, and you can call it exercise. This is one of the you have to do it to know what I am talking about things. Really it is total body and mind relaxation... its heaven!
Well thats all so as we aproach the New Year cosider adding Yoga into your life. It really is amazing!

2010 Organization Mission!

So some of you may know I used to be super organized and clean. My bed was made every morning, and every test, sorority event, or outing was written in my planner. Well, I do not know what happened but somewhere since the summer my organization has fallen apart. So... with the new year right around the corner and plenty of time that I should be studying to clean, I have decided to get myself in order before 2010! And as of today it is ALL complete! Here is everything I completed in order:
- A full cleaning out of my closet, replacing all my hangers with velvet ones, and all my clothes color coordinated
- Rolling my many tshirts in my drawer to save room
- Organizing and purging my desk of old papers, all went to recycling!
- Cleaning out and detailing my car (HUGE PROJECT!)
- And today organizing my make-up...
So my make-up has been the hardest thing for me to organize. I have so much of it, even after cleaning it out. Literally, I have cried on the phone with my mom because of the stress of getting my make-up in order, no organizer seemed to work. Today mommy and I went to The Container Store and made my own organizer...This is the stores large Hobby Box. I added the brush and pencil organizer to the bottom and a medicine holder to stack MAC eyeshadows!

All closed up and all organized by the items and brushes I use!
So much nicer!
