Oh Lil' You're the Best!

Lilly Pulitzer released the new Sorority prints today on facebook and I have to thank them for including Kappa Alpha Theta in that list. Our new print is so cute with kites, pansys, and enough black and gold to suffice. You know I will be picking up some of this. Other sororities to make the list include Alpha Delta Pi, Chi Omega, Delta Gamma, Alpha Phi, and us, Kappa Alpha Theta.

Halloween: The Beginning

Ok so Halloween is my favorite of all holidays, except Christmas (which is in a different classification b/c it last more than one day.) But we have officially started our festivities. Last night EmStone, Baby Stone, and another Theta Sister and I attended FIJI Fright Night. Each year the FIJI's put on a pretty scary haunted house to raise money for Waco Young Life. It is such a fun event and a great cause. It is even better when the guys know you and say your names and follow you (Em almost died like 6 times haha.) Here is EmStone and I in our Fright Night shirts (hers is current mine is 2008.) We had so much fun we got there at 10pm and left at midnight!

Next up was this morning. My Theta sisters and I volunteered at the CASA Spooktacular 5K and Fun Run. CASA is Theta's national philanthropy and we all were up at 7:30 am in costume ready to run fun Halloween booths for all the kids that attended. I wore my Boardwalk Empire inspired flapper costume and EmStone was an 80's workout instructor. We also had mice, an Avatar, grapes, a Pirate, and Spiderman! It was so fun to do something childlike again on Halloween!





Tonight's costume is a sexy Mad Hatter! And also Baylor is playing Texas... So I must end this with a very Halloween appropriate HEX TEX!

Greek Week!

Well it is Greek Week here at Baylor University!
We have had an event each day.

Mon: Greek Showcase
Tue: Greek Movie Night
Wed: Grecian Games (PNM's play games with greek coaches)
Thur: Fraternity BBQ and Traditions Pep Rally for our first game!
Sat: Baylor vs. Sam Houston State Football Game

Girls Night Out!

Tuesday night was a fun one! EmStone and I played our first intramural game of the year. Volleyball! We played against Kappa and we won! After the game we attended Beauty Brand's Girls Night Out. We got a paraffin treatment, hand salt scrub, cuticle treatment, and hand massage... all for free. They also offered make up lessons, 5 min chair massages, and hair straitening for free as well. The store had some amazing deals going on that I was sure to take advantage of. At the end of it all we left with a goody bad full of samples. I was so glad we took advantage of this even though we were still in our intramural jerseys.

After leaving Beauty Brands EmStone and I went back to campus for our Greek Week Movie Night. We watched the new Karate Kid and after that called it a night.

There was also a new episode of White Collar that my brand new DVR had waiting for me and I sat down with a La Croix (post coming soon about these) and enjoyed!

Stage Ready!

Hey everyone!
I am getting ready for the stage. I have successfully been on maintenance for 2 weeks and have not gained anything back, but because I will be front and center for Sing and spring break is right around the corner, I will be back dieting for two weeks in hopes to lose 5 more pounds. I am currently taking Zumba twice a week and a step class once a week.
To also get ready for the stage tanning is taking place. I always feel so bad going to the tanning beds but I try to only use them at this time of the year. My skin takes the sun or artificial uv lights very well, so I shouldn't have to go that much, but boy did I get white this winter. I am also using a tinted moisturizer to help as well.
Singing on stage everyone is looking at your mouth... So teeth whitening is definitely on my list on things to do. I have a good whitening system from my dentist, but time to kick it up a notch and really get my teeth sparkling.
My first performance is Feb. 18, but dress rehearsal is the 17th so highlights and nails will need to be before then. I will also be exfoliating my face every night, then Kiehls wash, and Proactive toner. This mix of products seems to work well for me.
Well I am off to Founder's Day so I need to jump in the shower, and through on a cute outfit!

Think Right Think Theta

Rush is officially over and I just want to share a few moments of it with you.

This was my last pref day and I was honored to sing "In This Very Room" for it. I wore the Lilly Pulitzer Squirly dress (performers wore cream, the rest of the chapter in black.) This is a picture of my two littles and I.

Our Bid Day theme was You Are Always In Style with Theta, our room was decorated with all sorts of designer shopping bags and fashion magazines. We have each pledge class wear the same bid day shirt but in different colors to help the new girls. Here are my littles and I again.Of course we had our pledge class pic. I love my pledge class so much, they are amazing women!And finally we have our newest members to Theta... PC 2010!
