Gloomy Old Eeyore

Do you ever have days where you feel like a gloomy old Eeyore?
Well today is one of those days in NYC... rainy, slightly cold, and I am slightly tired.

On days like these I find it best to remember to stop and smell the roses...

Sit, drink tea, and read (preferably something set in a tropical place)

Wake up to Jimmy Buffett or Bob Marley instead of a beeping alarm

Watch uplifting movies instead of sad sappy ones (ie Mamma Mia, Letters to Juliet)

Get some color on your skin either through a tanning bed or tanning lotion

Paint your nails a brighter color (Cajun Shrimp is always a go to)

Do something for others! This is the best mood lifter!!

Do you have any go to winter blues busters?
Please share!!

I Love Mary Kay Andrews!!!

I love the author Mary Kay Andrews!! She writes fabulous, fast moving southern tales. My best friend/ room mate, W, and I are vowing to read all her books by summer. I have read Savannah Breeze, and I am almost finished with Deep Dish. W, gave me this for my Birthday... Then I will read Savannah Blues and Hissy Fit. We are so ready for Fixer Upper to come out this summer. Happy Reading!!
